For those who used the previous wedding discount code you can email Nicole (badgernan@hotmail.com) your confirmation number so we can move your reservation to receive the additional discount.

Holy Communion: (Adopted from the church’s recommendations) The wedding ceremony will be a full Catholic Mass, and we invite Catholics to fully participate in the Celebration of the Eucharist. The Holy Eucharist is the sacrament in which we receive the Body and Blood of Christ. It is the memorial of Christ’s Passover, the work of salvation accomplished by the life, death, and resurrection of Christ, a work made present by the liturgical action.

If you are Catholic and would like to participate, we ask that you prepare yourself to partake in the Sacrament on this special day. Please see guidance below to ready yourself prior to the ceremony.

If you are not Catholic or will not otherwise be receiving Communion, you may still approach the alter during Holy Communion and cross your arms over your chest to indicate that you would like to receive a blessing from the priest.

Guidelines for Holy Communion with Reverence:

  • 1) Fast for one hour before receiving – no food or drink except water or medicine.
  • 2) Be in the state of grace (free from mortal sin) before receiving. Consider whether the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is needed before receiving the Holy Eucharist.
  • 3) Make a bow or genuflection to Jesus before coming face to face with the priest.
  • 4) You may receive on the tongue or in the hand; kneeling or standing.
  • 5) After the minister says “the Body of Christ” reply “Amen” which means “I believe.”

Reception Parking: As you approach Hotel Zessa, complimentary event parking is located in a lot to the right, across the street from the hotel. The parking address for GPS is 8 1st American Way. For those wanting a shorter walk, or those using a car service, guests may be dropped off at the front of the hotel in the turn around. Guests staying in the hotel should use the guest parking in the garage below the hotel.

Reception & Dancing: If you arrive to the reception location early, there is a hotel bar available on the same floor as the reception until the cocktail hour begins.

Chris and Nicole love to dance! The reception will include all types of music and dancing. However, we will definitely have some line dances and wanted to provide those who may wish to learn a few before the wedding the opportunity to do so. If you would like to check out a few of our featured line dances, please visit the line dance page.
